ITW David Speer Academy has gone a perfect 3-0 against Golder recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Pride will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. ITW David Speer Academy knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Golder likes a good challenge.
ITW David Speer Academy is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Noble Street College Prep just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Golden Tigers by a score of 15-14. Even though they lost, the Pride's still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.9 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Santiago Lopez was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and five RBI. He also scored three runs, which is notable because ITW David Speer Academy is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Alexander Roman, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 16 runs the game before, Golder was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They lost 11-1 to Rauner.
Ryan Drysch and Liam Drysch did some serious damage despite the final result: Ryan got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and one double, while Liam went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. Liam has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last eight times he's played.
ITW David Speer Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Golder, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-3.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. ITW David Speer Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Golder struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
ITW David Speer Academy took their victory against Golder in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 15-5 score. Will the Pride repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
