Caleb Brake ran for two touchdowns and
Joshua Schultheis added three as well as
Mars (Pa.) beat Hollidaysburg (Pa.) 69-14 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a Schultheis touchdown run in the first quarter, the Fightin' Planets led 56-7 at the half.
Each side put up seven points during the third quarter, and at the beginning of the fourth it was still a 49 point game.
A big 35-point first quarter helped Mars secure the win. MHS scored on a Schultheis touchdown run, a touchdown run by Schultheis, a defensive touchdown, a
Jason Lozzi touchdown run and a touchdown run by
Travis Ganter in the quarter.
Schultheis stood out for the Fightin' Planets in the win. He ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored 17 touchdowns on the season.
Mars came into the game allowing 8.9 points per game. The 14 points that the Golden Tigers ended with were well below their average of 22.9 coming into the game.
Mars (7-1) will play a WPIAL AAA Northeastern game against Hampton next week, while Hollidaysburg (3-5) will take on Indiana also in a WPIAL AAA Northeastern game.
