The Lausanne Collegiate Lynx were the 68-62 winner over the First Assembly Christian Crusaders when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Lausanne Collegiate fell 71-58 to First Assembly Christian on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Lausanne Collegiate can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 149th, while First Assembly Christian is ranked fifth).
Lausanne Collegiate's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carson Boyle, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. The contest was Boyle's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Ford, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Lausanne Collegiate has fallen quite a ways from their 22-3 record last season and are now at 4-8. As for First Assembly Christian, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3.
Lausanne Collegiate will take on Evangelical Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for First Assembly Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Northpoint Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
