The Paulding Panthers will head out on the road to  square off against  the Montpelier Locomotives at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  the pair posted some lofty  run totals in their previous games.
 Last Saturday,  everything went Paulding's way against Edon as Paulding made off with  an  11-2 win.
  Greyson Harder and  Kane Jones made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing,  Harder   kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Meanwhile,  Jones   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned run off   one  hit. At bat,  Harder  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, a  triple,  and  an  RBI, while  Jones  scored a  run while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Hunter Couts was  excellent,  scoring two  runs while going 3-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Montpelier had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Edon  an   11-0 shutout  last Thursday.
 Paulding now  has a winning record of 2-1. As for Montpelier, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
 Paulding couldn't quite finish off Montpelier when the teams last played  back in April of 2022 and fell  11-9. Can Paulding avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
