After only six points in their last contest, Tylertown made sure to put some points up on the board against Lawrence County on Friday. The Chiefs put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 35-13 victory. For the Chiefs, this counts as revenge for the 36-18 win the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Despite the loss, Lawrence County still got an impressive performance from James McDuffey, who rushed for 150 yards on only 15 carries.

The victory got Tylertown back to even at 1-1. As for Lawrence County, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Tylertown will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on East Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lawrence County, they will head out on the road to square off against Jefferson Davis County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
