For the second straight game, Tippecanoe will face off against Sidney. The Red Devils will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Yellowjackets at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Tippecanoe has 14 straight victories, Sidney has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Tippecanoe had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Sidney on Monday. The Red Devils were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Yellowjackets. The result was nothing new for the Red Devils, who have now won nine games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Ethan Davis looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, James Merry was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Zumwalt, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.
Tippecanoe was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sidney only posted a batting average of .240.
Tippecanoe's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Sidney, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.
Tippecanoe's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's contest. The Red Devils have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Sidney, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Tippecanoe continue to outrun the ball?
