Basketball Recap: Leavitt Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Leavitt lost to Cape Elizabeth back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Leavitt Hornets took down the Cape Elizabeth Capers 66-49. The Hornets' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Leavitt's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4. As for Cape Elizabeth, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Leavitt will challenge Maine Central Institute at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cape Elizabeth, they will welcome York at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. York will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Cape Elizabeth surely won't give up without a fight.
