The Sackets Harbor Central Patriots can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They blew past Copenhagen 57-34. The victory was familiar territory for Sackets Harbor Central who now have four in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Copenhagen lost, one person who can't be blamed is Samuel Carroll. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Carroll has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last ten times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Sullivan, who scored nine points along with five assists.
Sackets Harbor Central pushed their record up to 11-1 with that win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.9 points per game. As for Copenhagen, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sackets Harbor Central will stay at home for another game and welcome Thousand Islands at 2:30 p.m. on January 20th. Copenhagen will take on Lyme Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lyme Central comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
