The Wakulla Christian School Saints will head out on the road to face off against the Liberty County Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Wakulla Christian School focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Thursday.
Wakulla Christian School kicked off their season on the road and hit a couple of potholes. They were outmatched by North Florida Christian on the road and fell 59-9. Wakulla Christian School was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-4.
Despite their loss, Wakulla Christian School saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Langston Stephens, who scored 2 points along with 6 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all.
Even though Liberty County has not done well against Vernon recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Liberty County took down Vernon 61-47. Liberty County's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Wakulla Christian School's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Liberty County, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
Wakulla Christian School came up short against Liberty County when the teams last played back in January, falling 49-37. Can Wakulla Christian School avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
