Basketball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Questa's Fifth in Last Six Outings

If Escalante wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Questa, they should've done a better job of containing Kamryn Cardenas. The Questa Wildcats claimed a resounding 57-22 win over the Escalante Lobos thanks in part to Cardenas, who posted ten points in addition to six steals and five assists. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Alianna Gonzales, who scored ten points. That's the most points she has posted since back in March of 2024.

Questa has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Escalante, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-15.

Questa has already played their next game, a 53-31 victory against Mora on the 25th. As for Escalante, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 67-32 loss against Mesa Vista on the 25th.
