Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Summerville). They walked away with a 76-67 win over the Pinewood Prep Panthers on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Green Wave also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2019.

Pinewood Prep's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tre Green, who went 8 for 17 on his way to 23 points. Jayden Alexander was another key player, putting up 15 points and five steals.

The victory (which was Summerville's third in a row) raised their record to 3-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Pinewood Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season.

Summerville will square off against Woodland at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Summerville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Woodland likes a good challenge. As for Pinewood Prep, they will face off against Stall at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
