While it was all tied up 28-28 at halftime, the Waco Lions were not quite the Chaparral Bobcats's equal in the second half on Friday. Waco fell to the Bobcats 66-61. Waco was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Demarko Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Chaparral, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Alphonzo Houser, who scored ten points along with five assists.
Waco are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-20-1. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Chaparral, their win bumped their record up to 17-18.
Waco will be playing at home against the Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shoemaker presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Lions in Texas (the Wolves are ranked 60th, while the Lions are ranked 756th). As for Chaparral, they will head out on the road to take on the Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
