The Heritage Academy Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Boone County Rebels at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Heritage Academy put up the most runs they have all season on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Dayton a 20-0 shutout. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Bob Brown made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 14 over 5.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, Hunter Boswell was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. Heritage Academy is 2-1 when Boswell posts two or more stolen bases, but 1-4 otherwise. Jacob Muse was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Heritage Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2025.
Boone County came out on top against Holy Cross on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run first inning. The Rebels put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 13-3 win.
Like Heritage Academy, Boone County also got a great game from a two-way player: Asa LaGrand. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. LaGrand was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Mason Coughenour was incredible, going 4-for-5 with five RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cooper Henson, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
With the victory, Heritage Academy broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5. As for Boone County, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
