Clairemont moved up to 583 from 641 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Central. The Chieftains climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Coronado 33-3.
University City took down Crawford 37-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Christian's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Patriots feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Michael Carrillo has thrown for 804 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while Phillip George has 17 catches for 281 yards. Rayvon Owens leads the league in rushing with 876 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Christian takes on second place Clairemont. Christian lost to Madison last week, while Clairemont defeated the Islanders.

The Chieftains made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,760 from 8,701. The advance stemmed from a 33-3 victory over Tony Isabella's team last week.
