Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Cherokee was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 353 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mount Zion Christian Academy only rushed for 219.
Meanwhile, Robbinsville fought the good fight in their overtime match against Trion on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 35-28 to the Bulldogs.
Cherokee now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Robbinsville, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Cherokee was dealt a bruising 46-6 defeat at the hands of Robbinsville in their previous matchup back in September of 2023. Thankfully for Cherokee, Cuttler Adams (who rushed for 156 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 57 receiving yards and a touchdown) won't be suiting up this time.
