Tara is 0-9 against St. Michael since October of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Tara Trojans will be playing at home against the St. Michael Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Tara is out to stop a nine-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
Two weeks ago, Tara took a serious blow against Istrouma, falling 34-6. That's two games in a row now that Tara has lost by exactly 28 points.
Jordan Bowie put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 126 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, there was early excitement for St. Michael after they claimed the first score on Thursday, but it was McKinley who ended up claiming the real prize. St. Michael took a 30-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of McKinley. St. Michael has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Preston Sentino, who rushed for 101 yards, and also threw for 177 yards and three touchdowns. Gavin Landry was another key contributor, picking up 76 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
The losses dropped Tara to 1-6 and St. Michael to 5-2.
Tara took a serious blow against St. Michael in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 49-16. Will Tara have more luck at home instead of on the road?
