Central Valley has gone a perfect 5-0 against Grace Davis recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Central Valley Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Grace Davis Spartans at 4:00 p.m. Central Valley's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Grace Davis' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
While Central Valley didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on Sierra with a sharp 15-6 victory on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won five contests by nine runs or more so far this season.
Brooklynn Steeley was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in strikeouts. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Reylena Herrera, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Abigail Krauss, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and one double.
Central Valley hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sierra struck out 11 times.
Meanwhile, Grace Davis can bid farewell to their 12-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game last Saturday. They came out on top against Amador by a score of 7-3.
Grace Davis saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Illiana C, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Central Valley has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. Grace Davis' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4.
Central Valley took their victory against Grace Davis in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 15-7. Will Central Valley repeat their success, or does Grace Davis have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
