Baseball Game Preview: Central Valley Hawks vs. Pacheco Panthers

For the first time this season, Central Valley will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. They will head out to take on the Pacheco Panthers at 4:00 p.m. The last three games Central Valley has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Friday, Central Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Gregori and fell 5-4.

Central Valley saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaias Valdovinos, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI. The dominant performance gave Valdovinos a new career-high in hits. Another was Carter Hernandez, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Pacheco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 6-2 to Dos Palos.

Pacheco's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Central Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Central Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Pacheco when the teams last played back in May of 2021, winning 7-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Central Valley since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
