The Williamsburg Academy Stallions will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Carolina Academy Bobcats at 4:00 p.m. Williamsburg Academy will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
Even though Williamsburg Academy has not done well against Pee Dee Academy recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Williamsburg Academy had just enough and edged Pee Dee Academy out 51-48. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Williamsburg Academy has scored all season.
Corey Burts was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points. Another player making a difference was Wes Smith, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Carolina Academy can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent contest on Monday. They claimed a resounding 58-16 victory over Thomas Sumter Academy at home. That 42 points margin sets a new team best for Carolina Academy this season.
Williamsburg Academy's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-0. As for Carolina Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
Everything went Williamsburg Academy's way against Carolina Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2022 as Williamsburg Academy made off with a 56-35 win.
