If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Banks. They will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Astoria at 7:00 PM. The team will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
Banks put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season last Friday. They were fully in charge, breezing past Tillamook 56-13. With Banks ahead 35-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Meanwhile, there's no need to mince words: Astoria lost to Seaside, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 7-55. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Astoria.
Banks's victory lifted them to 3-1 while Astoria's loss dropped them down to 1-3. In their win, Banks relied heavily on senior Josiah Ochoa, who rushed for 141 yards and 4 touchdowns. Astoria will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
