Taft School won against Choate Rosemary Hall School  last Wednesday with 12  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Monday. The Big Red beat the Kent School Lions by the very same score they won with in their prior game:  12-2. The result was nothing new for the Big Red, who have now won four games by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Evan Douglas tossed a big game,   striking out eight batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   two  hits (and only one walk).
 At the plate,  Cayden Van Dolah and  Owen Palmer did most of the damage at the plate:  Van Dolah  scored four  runs and  stole three bases while going 2-for-2, while  Palmer  went 2-for-3 with two  triples, three  runs,  and one  RBI. Van Dolah is becoming a predictor of Taft School's success: when he posts  at  least two  runs the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was  Parker Woods, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-1.
 Taft School was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .550. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .304 or higher in five consecutive  matchups.
Taft School pushed their record up to 4-2 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Kent School,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 0-5.
 Coming up, Taft School will take on Loomis Chaffee School at 3:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Big Red are facing the Pelicans at the right time seeing as the Pelicans are stuck on  a  three-game losing streak. As for Kent School, they will square off against Kingswood Oxford at 3:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Wyverns will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
