The Meade Buffaloes came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28 points) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 56-36 margin over Pawnee Heights. 56 seems to be a good number for Meade as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meade got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carlie Martin out in front who scored 15 points along with six steals and five assists. Another player making a difference was Sayler Stapleton, who scored 17 points along with four steals.
Meade has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Pawnee Heights, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.
Meade will take on Ashland at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Ashland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while Meade is ranked 76th). As for Pawnee Heights, they will face off against Kiowa County at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Kiowa County is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
