Even though the Bellbrook Golden Eagles scored an imposing 61 points on Sunday, the Lima Senior Spartans still came out on top. Lima Senior managed a 67-61 victory over Bellbrook. Given Lima Senior's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while Bellbrook is ranked 452nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lima Senior's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Shawn Foster, who scored 25 points. The game was Foster's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Isaiah Wilson was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Lima Senior now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Bellbrook, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Lima Senior will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Findlay at 5:00 p.m. on December 29th. Bellbrook will be home for the holidays to greet Monroe at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
