Potlatch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 70-35 loss at the hands of the Lapwai Wildcats. One positive for the Loggers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why Potlatch lost, don't look at Kathryn Burnette. Despite the final result, she went 8 of 15 en route to 18 points and eight rebounds. That was a full 51.4% of Potlatch's points, marking the third time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Potlatch's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Lapwai, their win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Potlatch wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 63-47 loss against Troy on the 12th. As for Lapwai, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-44 victory against Kendrick on the 9th.
