Hayden hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in four consecutive matches.
Hayden's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 30-17. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Corner, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-23-1 record this season.
