It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Thomson Bulldogs had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They breezed by Jeff Davis at home to the tune of 40-0. The win was familiar territory for Thomson who now have ten in a row.
Thomson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anthony Jeffery, who rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamere Roberts, who rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns.
Thomson's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 38.92 points. As for Jeff Davis, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Thomson will take on Toombs County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Toombs County is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Jeff Davis does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
