If the Scholars Guild Academy Spartans were riding high off their 52-24 takedown of the Providence Classical Christian Warriors last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Scholars Guild Academy was beaten by Trinity Prep 75-42 on Tuesday.
Several Spartans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Elijah McIlvain, who scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Rumble, who scored 9 points.
Scholars Guild Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Trinity Prep, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.
Scholars Guild Academy will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Konos Academy at 7:15 p.m. Konos Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Trinity Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Loganville Christian Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Loganville Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
