Dodge County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Paige Ingram out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Ingram scored 15 or more points. Lyric Green was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Wilcox County didn't have too much trouble with Telfair County at home on Saturday as they won 55-41. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Wilcox County.
Dodge County has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Wilcox County, they pushed their record up to 13-1 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
Dodge County came up short against Wilcox County in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 44-33. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Wilcox County's Tyliah Benjamin, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 27 rebounds.
