Westland can bid farewell to their 12-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. Everything went their way against the Whitehall-Yearling Rams as they made off with an 11-1 victory. The Cougars not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 21st (when they won 26-8).
Payton Justice made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.
