They suffered a rough 71-51 loss at the hands of St. Michael the Archangel. Williamsburg Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Legend Bunch, who scored 19 points. That was a full 37.3% of Williamsburg Christian Academy's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Watson, who scored 12 points.
St. Michael the Archangel was led to victory by Amir Savage and Odita Aguolu. Savage dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds, while Aguolu dropped a double-double on 28 points and 18 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Aguolu has scored all season. Isaiah Savage was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Williamsburg Christian Academy bumped their record down to 5-10 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for St. Michael the Archangel, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-9.
Williamsburg Christian Academy and Spirit HomeSchool will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Spirit HomeSchool has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 177 points over their last three games. As for St. Michael the Archangel, they will head out on the road to take on Fredericksburg Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
