After flying high against the Ubly Bearcats last Thursday, the Frankfort Panthers came back down to earth. Frankfort fell 56-46 to Glen Lake on Friday. Frankfort was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Glen Lake apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Glen Lake's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Benji Allen, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Bufalini, who scored seven points along with seven assists.
Frankfort's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Glen Lake, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Frankfort will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Mary at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Mary will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 651st, while Frankfort is ranked 322nd). As for Glen Lake, they will head out on the road to face off against Leland at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
