Cardinal Gibbons is 2-8 against Jordan since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders will challenge the Jordan Falcons at 6:00 p.m. Cardinal Gibbons' pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so Jordan's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Cardinal Gibbons not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 2, 2024. They were the clear victor by a 12-1 margin over Willow Spring. The Crusaders' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Cam Tarkenton was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Tarkenton was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Damon Phillips, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Andrew Riedel was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Cardinal Gibbons kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Jordan gave up the first runs last Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Person by a score of 14-9. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Rockets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Jordan got a massive performance out of Charles Puryear, who scored four runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in both of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Stewart, who went 2-for-5 with three stolen bases and three RBI.
The victory got Cardinal Gibbons back to even at 2-2. As for Jordan, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Cardinal Gibbons might still be hurting after the 9-2 loss they got from Jordan when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Cardinal Gibbons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
