The Central Cabarrus Vikings put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past East Rowan 111-37 at home. Central Cabarrus has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 matches by 21 points or more this season.
Josh Dalton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Desmond Kent Jr., who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aiden Lino, who scored five points.
Central Cabarrus' win was their 25th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 90.9 points per game. As for East Rowan, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.
Central Cabarrus will head out on the road to take on South Rowan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Rowan comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for East Rowan, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lake Norman Charter at 7:30 p.m. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Braylon Irelan and Drake Jones.
