There's no place like home for West Monona, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Lawton-Bronson Eagles with a sharp 9-2 win on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won six matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

West Monona pushed their record up to 9-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lawton-Bronson, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Coincidentally, West Monona and Lawton-Bronson will both be playing Kuemper the next time they take the field. The Eagles will host the Knights at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, while the Spartans will play them later in the day, at 10:45 a.m.
