It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Ord Chanticleers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Yutan 35-7 on the road. Winning may never get old, but Ord sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
Ord had a senior duo take command as Trent Mccain rushed for 173 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.6 yards per carry and Dylan Hurlburt threw for 108 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes. Mccain is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last six games he's played.
Ord's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Yutan, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.
Ord will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Norfolk Catholic at 2:45 p.m. on November 21st. Norfolk Catholic is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Yutan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
