Given Glen Lake's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while Traverse City Christian is ranked 342nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Glen Lake's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Benji Allen, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Allen has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Bufalini, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Suttons Bay suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They were dealt a 75-32 loss at the hands of Benzie Central. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Suttons Bay has scored all season.
Glen Lake's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Suttons Bay, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
