After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Shenandoah Valley, Columbia Montour Vo-Tech was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 24-21 win over the Millville Quakers. With that victory, the Rams brought their scoring average up to 8.3 runs per game.

Columbia Montour Vo-Tech got a massive performance out of Mackeely Boggs, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-5. Those runs were Boggs' first of the season. Rehna Wallace was another key player, getting on base in three of her six plate appearances with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

Columbia Montour Vo-Tech always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .694. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .579 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Columbia Montour Vo-Tech's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Millville, their record is now 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbia Montour Vo-Tech will head out to square off against Sullivan County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Millville, they will venture away from home to take on Northwest Area at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Northwest Area will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Millville surely won't give up without a fight.
