The Coahulla Creek Colts had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.6 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Adairsville with a sharp 70-46 win. Coahulla Creek's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Cullen Marti continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Ward, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
Coahulla Creek's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Adairsville, they have fallen quite a ways from their 20-9 record last season and are now at 3-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coahulla Creek will face off against Northwest Whitfield at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
