The Therrell Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 65-41 loss at the hands of Walker. Therrell has not had much luck with Walker recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Therrell's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Michael Woolridge, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Morion Mcwhorter, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Leading Walker to victory were Noah Pederson and Moustapha Diop. Pederson dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, while Diop dropped a double-double on 22 points and 18 rebounds. Diop is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lorenzo Mccorvey, who scored six points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Therrell has been struggling recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Walker, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-7.
Therrell will take on Business Engineering Science Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Business Engineering Science Tech is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. Walker will take on North Cobb Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. North Cobb Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 397 points over their last five contests.
