With a playoff game on the line, the Santa Rosa Academy Rangers rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They blew past the Knights 5-2. Considering Santa Rosa Academy has won six matchups by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
They hit Desert Christian with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Phillip Zagone (2),
Dominic Zagone,
Parker Pawlowski, and
Sawyer Ross.
The victory (which was Santa Rosa Academy's fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-8. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those four games. As for Desert Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9-1.
Santa Rosa Academy will head out on the road to face off against Rancho Verde at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Desert Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
