Fort Bend Kempner's defeat was their ninth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-9. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 9.9 points per game. As for Angleton, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Fort Bend Kempner took a serious blow against Angleton in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, falling 45-7.
