Noble-Whitley Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They strolled past Mid-Michigan HomeSchoolers with points to spare, taking the game 72-56. The victory was some much needed relief for Noble-Whitley Warriors as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Noble-Whitley Warriors was led to victory by Colt Kirkpatrick and Caidyn Berna. Kirkpatrick dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds, while Berna dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Kirkpatrick has scored at least 25% of Noble-Whitley Warriors' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah McCoy, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Noble-Whitley Warriors' win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-9. As for Mid-Michigan HomeSchoolers, they bumped their record down to 2-7 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Noble-Whitley Warriors will face off against Anderson HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Anderson HomeSchool knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 matches -- so hopefully Noble-Whitley Warriors likes a good challenge. Mid-Michigan HomeSchoolers will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on FAITH HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on January 8, 2024.
