The South Oak Cliff Bears had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victor by a 42-19 margin over Everman. The result was nothing new for South Oak Cliff, who have now won nine matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Khalil Ewell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 140 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries. Ewell is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Danny Green Jr, who rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown.
Everman's lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Isaiah Mcmillian, who picked up 94 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Kay?Den Brooks was another key contributor, rushing for 98 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.
The win (which was South Oak Cliff's eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.5 points per game. As for Everman, they bumped their record down to 6-5 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
South Oak Cliff will face off against Melissa at 7:00 p.m. on November 18th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Melissa is ranked 17th, while South Oak Cliff is ranked 33rd). Everman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
