The Riverside Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They strolled past Lincoln County with points to spare, taking the game 54-35. The win was just what Riverside needed coming off of a 101-24 loss in their prior game.
Leading Riverside to victory were Ava Ward and Laila Campbell. Ward dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds, while Campbell dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Starsick, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Hayden Moore and Chevelle Salmons certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Moore scored 14 points along with seven rebounds, while Salmons scored seven points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Moore has scored all season.
Riverside's win ended a eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-9. As for Lincoln County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
Riverside will be playing at home against Capital at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lincoln County, they will head out on the road to challenge Logan at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
