The Bayside Marlins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 26 points or more this season. They breezed by Great Bridge at home to the tune of 60-19. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-13.
Bayside's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jessie Ware, who dropped a triple-double on 17 points, ten assists, and 13 steals. Ware is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Micala Poe was another key contributor, scoring 25 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Bayside now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Great Bridge, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
Bayside will look to defend their home court on Friday against Kellam at 5:30 p.m. As for Great Bridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Hickory at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
