The Everett Vikings will take on the Eastern Quakers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Eastern took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Everett, who comes in off a win.
Everett barely beat Sexton the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Vikings blew past the Athletics 21-6 on Thursday. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Athletics recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Emmett Leidi was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off three hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those doubles were his first of the season.
