Leesville Road is a perfect 10-0 against Sanderson since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Pride will welcome the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. Leesville Road is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
On Monday, Leesville Road was able to grind out a solid win over Willow Spring, taking the game 10-7.
Jack Fields looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Brett Kutner was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Carter Hepp was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Sanderson and Enloe meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Spartans had just enough and edged out the Eagles 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Spartans have posted against the Eagles since April 29, 2021.
BRADY ROBINSON made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. ROBINSON was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.
ROBINSON wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was FINN THOMAS, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Leesville Road pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Sanderson, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-11.
Sanderson's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Leesville Road has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .449. It's a different story for Sanderson, though, as they've only averaged .296. Will they be able to contain Leesville Road's hitters?
Leesville Road came out on top in a nail-biter against Sanderson in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Pride repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
