This season hasn't been kind to the Shields Panthers, who are still winless after their tenth game. They were outmatched by Wilcox Central at home and fell 54-16. Shields lost against Wilcox Central in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 51-10 score last time.
Orlando Jackson went supernova for Wilcox Central, rushing for 230 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries. Jackson's longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards. Jamarius Packer was another key contributor, picking up 100 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Shields has yet to win a match at home this season, leaving them with a 0-10 record. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 3.8 points per game. As for Wilcox Central, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-8.
Shields does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wilcox Central also has no future games currently scheduled.
