The Giles County Bobcats will head out on the road to challenge the Franklin County Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Giles County is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
Even though Marshall County scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, Giles County still came out on top. Giles County managed a 62-56 win over Marshall County. The win was just what Giles County needed coming off of a 73-44 loss in their prior match.
Meanwhile, Franklin County pushed their score all the way to 56 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 62-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lawrence County. While losing is never fun, Franklin County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while Lawrence County is ranked 42nd).
Giles County's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Franklin County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-12.
Giles County skirted past Franklin County 58-56 in their previous meeting back in January of 2022. Does Giles County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Franklin County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
