The Kimball Cubs posted their biggest win since November 30, 2023 on Monday. Everything went their way against Milaca as Kimball made off with a 74-53 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Kimball has posted against Milaca since February 17, 2015.
Milaca's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Samson Trigg, who scored six points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Taylor, who scored 13 points.
Even though they lost, Milaca smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Kimball's win bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Milaca, they bumped their record down to 1-12 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kimball won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Holdingford at 5:45 p.m. on January 23rd. Holdingford is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Milaca, they will head out on the road to square off against Albany at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
